The world's largest lime mine

Visit the world's largest lime pits with more than 60 km. mine corridors. Walk for the 2 km. illuminated passages along rippling streams and underground lakes. In the lime works you can see the old kilns that burned the lime and a museum has been set up in the former manager's residence. The mine train will NOT run in the 2021 season.

Bring warm clothes, as the temperature in the pits is always 8 degrees.

Mønsted Kalkgruber is suitable for wheelchair users.
