Memorial at Viborg Nørresø near Borgvold in honor of the famous gardener Carl Jacobson Brostrøm.

The Scanian gardener Carl Jacobson Brostrøm, came to Viborg in 1864, where he worked and lived until his death in 1917, established the first nursery school in Northern Jutland, and brought together the Danish gardeners.

In Viborg, Carl Jacobson Brostrøm opened a garden center, where he grew seed crops, kitchen herbs, and specialized in nursery operations. Brostrøm's Nursery School became the first in North Jutland.

In 1884 he was elected as the first chairman of the Danish Gardeners 'Association and in 1887 as the first chairman of the General Danish Gardeners' Association.

In his honor, this memorial was erected by Almindelig Dansk Gartnerforening near Borgvold, where Carl Jacobson Brostrøm has also left his mark on the park's design.
