Memorial park for Hans Tausen, who came to the city in 1525 and preached the thoughts of the Reformation for several years.

In 1836, a garden was created on this site, which was inaugurated on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the Reformation with the erection of a memorial support for Hans Tausen. At the end of the 1800th century, gardener CJ Brostrøm planted the beech hedges that to this day mark the outline of the former Gråbrødre Church.

In connection with the Reformation anniversary (475 years) in Viborg in 2004, another Hans Tausen sculpture was erected. This sculpture is made by artist Bjørn Nørgaard.
