Hald Lake is located in a completely unique nature area approx. 5 km south of Viborg. The lake is located in an area that has been protected since 1947.

Hald Sø is 342 ha in size and in some places as deep as 31 m. To the south and east, the lake is surrounded by steep slopes, where the terrain reaches heights of over 80 meters in some places.

Fishing

You must have a fishing permit for fishing.

All fishing MUST take place from a boat bearing the Fussingø State Forest District's boat number. Other permits are available from the local forester.

From the shore next to the park at Hald Hovedgaard and in the mill pond at Dollerup Mill, fishing can be done without a fishing license but with the state fishing license.

The use of natural bait is STRICTLY PROHIBITED unless it is from Hald Lake.
