Pilehaven is located at Sct. Ibs Gade on the west bank of Nørresø. Here, the gate leads into a green open space with a view of the lake.

The striking willow fence has spire-shaped columns inspired by Viborg Cathedral, which can be seen from the garden.

A garden shaped from natural materials

During the renovation in 1995-1996, basket maker Bent Vinkler created woven fences and elements of willow and maple. Landscape architect Marie Vedel-Rieper participated in the design.

The natural materials give the garden a sculptural touch and highlight willow wicker as both a craft and a garden element.
