Viborg Museum invites you into the city's history. In the heart of the Cathedral Quarter, the museum is currently creating a new, distinctive attraction: Museum Wibergis.

Museum Wibergis takes you back to Viborg's time as the center of power in Jutland. Through atmospheric sound and light effects, animations and interactive elements, Denmark's dramatic history of power is brought to life in a sensory experience that appeals to both the mind and the senses. The museum is expected to open in the winter of 2026-2027.

Viborg Museum also has three other attractions; Hvolris Iron Age , the scenic area at De fem Halder and the schoolroom E' Bindstouw.

Viborg Museum also offers a wide range of activities and historical experiences. Participate in lectures, guided tours and family mystery hunts or try one of the museum's popular fusion experiences such as Bryg & Brosten, Borge og Brunch and Vidunderlige Viborg.

Viborg Museum is, together with Wibergis, a central part of the Cathedral Quarter – the city's historic heart. The area is currently being developed into a comprehensive tourist attraction with museums, urban space promotion and experiences in the atmospheric, cobblestone streets around Viborg Cathedral.
