Kongenshus Mindeparks Naturcenter is a modern nature center where you can get an insight into the heath's nature and cultural history.

Experience the natural and cultural history of the heathen

As a guest at Kongenshus Mindepark, a magnificent experience awaits you in one of Denmark's largest continuous heathlands. You can explore the heathland, which is surrounded by wide views and deep traces of history. You will also have the opportunity to get up close to the area's unique flora and fauna, as well as nature conservation with over 1.000 sheep.

You can borrow nets that can be used to catch insects and other small animals out on the moor and then study them under microscopes. You can also experience the lives of the bees throughout the year.

You can also walk through the beautiful heath landscape and follow the history of the heath through time.

Practical information

Kongenshus Kro is located nearby and offers both dining and accommodation. You can also book shelters, pick up hiking trails or take a guided tour organized by Viborg Museum.

There is free admission and parking at both the inn and the lookout tower, and dogs on a leash are welcome.
